All the answers to your questions

Open the Vinotag® application and add a bottle by clicking on the “+” icon at the bottom right of your screen. You can either follow the automatic procedure of adding a bottle by taking a picture of the label of your bottle after clicking on “Take a picture” to access a pre-filled wine card from the Vivino® database. Customize your wine card or use it as it is. Or use the free mode by clicking on “Take a free photo” to associate the photo of your bottle to a wine card that you will fill in manually. Then place your bottle(s) directly in your physical cellar. Your cellar detects their exact location(s) and reports them in your digital register.

Open the Vinotag® application and select the bottle you are looking for from your digital cellar. To select a bottle, you can search for via the research bar or choose it from your digital cellar by scrolling down the list of your wines. Click on the bottle of your choice and click on “SHOW IN CELLAR”. A light indicator will flash up in your physical cellar to show the exact location of your bottle. If you have several bottles of the wine you are looking for, several lights will flash up to indicate their location, up to a limit of 12 lights lit simultaneously.

Open the Vinotag® application and add a bottle by clicking on the “+” icon located at the bottom right of your screen. Follow the procedure to add a bottle and take a picture of the label of your bottle. You will then have access to a pre-filled wine file from the Vivino® database if you have opted for the Premium version. Customize your wine card or use it as it is. Press the ESommelier button and the cellar will recommend the ideal storage location for your bottle. Indicator lights will light up in your cellar to show you the available and suitable locations for your wine to age properly. Place your bottle directly in your physical cellar in one of the indicated locations. Your connected cellar detects the exact location of your bottle and reports it to your digital record.

Open the Vinotag® application and go to the “Profile” tab at the bottom right of the screen. Click on “MY CELLARS” and select the cellar you want to share then click on “Share my cellar”.
Click on “Create a code” to generate an invitation code. This invitation code gives access to your digital wine cellar once it has been shared with the people you want. Forward it easily thanks to the “Send” icon located next to the code. Once transmitted, your guest will receive an email, sms or other (depending on your sending method), inviting him/her to create a Vinotag® account or to log in to view and consult the content of your cellar.

It is possible, especially when you share your cellar with other people with different types of phones (IOS/ANDROID) that you do not instantly see the changes made by the people who have access to your digital cellar. If you are unable to see the changes made by other people who have access to your cellar, close and reopen the application ; the update is made each time the application is launched.

If you are the owner of the cellar, the layout of a connected cellar must not be changed. Any removal or replacement of shelves must be done by a certified technician. If you are a guest in a wine cellar, only the owner of the cellar may make changes to the cellar. You can only put down or remove a bottle.

The master box is a black box placed at the top right of your cellar on which it is written “Ecellar Compatible Vinotag”.

To connect your cellar to the internet, you have to create a Vinotag® account and follow the procedure to create a connected cellar. You will be asked for your Wifi password. The first time you use it, you will have to scan the QR code, located under the master box, at the top right of your cellar.

To connect your cellar to a new internet network, press the push button placed under the master box for 3 seconds. This operation allows a “reset” of the connection to the Wifi network, from then on a red LED under the master box must start flashing, then launch the Wifi pairing procedure from the “profile” space, “my cellars” and “configure the Wi-Fi” on the connected cellar that you have selected.

Warning : the scan of the QR code on the master box and the pairing procedure need to be performed only once! If you perform this operation on a cellar already associated with a user, you become the new owner of the cellar and overwrite all data previously associated with the cellar. You will have access to an empty cellar and the previous owner will no longer have access to the cellar. Please note that this action is irreversible and the overwritten data cannot be recovered.

It is possible that you made a position call and did not pick up/drop off the bottle(s), wait 5 minutes until they (light indicators) turn off by themselves or open and close the wine cellar door. All light indicators should then go out.

If your inventory is different from the contents of your cellar, please check the following cases:

  1. Did you make any changes during a power outage ? If so, these will not have been taken into account by the cellar. Correct the errors manually as follows :
    • Empty positions in my cellar, but occupied in the application : from the Vinotag application, you can access the “delete bottle” button for unknown (gray) bottles. This button has the function to delete the unknown wine from the application. Be careful, it is essential to make sure the wine is no longer present on the physical location in the cellar.
    • Positions occupied in my cellar, but empty in my application : Make a standard bottle entry with the Vinotag application, by clicking on the “+” icon located at the bottom right of your screen. Remove the bottle physically present in the cellar and follow the procedure to add a bottle and take a picture of the label of your bottle.
  2. Your cellar is no longer connected, check that a red LED is not flashing continuously under the master box.
    • If this is the case, it indicates that the cellar has lost its connection to the Wifi network. You must wait for the cellar to reconnect to the network to synchronize with the server the operations in progress. Check the status of your home wifi network and make sure that the cellar can receive its signal correctly.
    • If the wifi network is operational and the signal is sufficient, do the procedure again for connecting to the network (See “How to connect your cellar to the internet ?”).
    • As a last resort, do the Wifi pairing procedure again.
  3. Check your bottles, it is possible that one or more of them are incorrectly placed on the rack. Reposition the bottle neck so that it is centered on the sensor so that it detects its presence.
  4. Check the neck of the bottle is not too far away from the center bar of the rack, which could affect the detection of the bottle.
  5. Check the size of the bottle is compatible with the rack ≤ 75cl.
  6. Check the holes on the center bar of your rack are not blocked by dust or liquid. In this case, plan a delicate cleaning with a soft and dry cloth.
  7. Other possible cases, your bottle does not have a neck, or the neck is a dull black which can affect the detection of your bottle. In this case try adding a sticker around the neck.
  8. Check your storage area located at the bottom of the cellar. This area is not connected, so you must remember to follow its inventory and note in your application the withdrawals of bottles that are not automatically deducted.

To remove a bottle manually, from your cellar view, click on the storage area. The number of contained bottles is visible. When you click, you will see a list of the wines it contains. To remove a bottle manually, click on the wine you want to remove from your cellar and press the “I have consumed this bottle” button.

The Vinotag application allows you to program stock alerts and peak date alerts. These alerts can be consulted in the “ALERTS” page.

To program a stock alert and to be alerted when a wine reaches the minimum threshold, select the wine for which you want to program an alert from your cellar view. By clicking on the wine, you can access its detailed file. Click on the button “Program an alert” and enter the number of remaining bottles you wish to receive an alert for. Click on “Validate” to set up the stock alert.

To program a peak date alert and to be alerted when a wine reaches its peak date, you have to enter a minimum and maximum storage time. The storage time has to be entered in the wine file in the “wine details” section. Fill in the fields “Minimum storage time” and “Maximum storage time” and then click on “Save” to set up the “best before” date alert.

Please note that in order to receive an alert, the storage time must be greater than zero (0), otherwise no alert will be sent. The year of the wine must also be indicated on the file.

In the event of a service intervention on your cellar, the technician must switch your cellar to maintenance mode. In this case, the bottle movements are no longer recorded. You must not make any changes to the contents during this phase.

At the end of the intervention, 2 options are proposed to you. Start again from an empty cellar, you will then have to rescan all your bottles according to the procedure for adding bottles, or reuse the last configuration, in this case it is very important that the bottles are all repositioned exactly as they were placed before the intervention. The cellar cannot detect inversions or positioning errors during the maintenance phase. When the cellar is put back into service, it restarts with the last version saved on the server.

The activated carbon filter must be changed every year to ensure an efficient filtration and aeration system. Your cellar alerts when it is necessary to change the filter. The filter change date is automatically set when you register a new cellar. When you change the filter in your cellar, don’t forget to enter this action in the application from the “profile” space, “my cellars” and to click on the “Filter changed” button of the cellar concerned so that the counter resets to the current date (by default, a filter change must be done every year).

I cannot change the settings of my cellar

Make sure the control panel is not locked. The display shows a padlock icon when the controls are locked. Press and hold the padlock button for 3 seconds to unlock.

The control panel locks automatically after 15 seconds of inactivity.

In order to limit energy consumption, the lighting of your screen is automatically turned off if there is no activity for 15 seconds. Just touch one of the buttons and the screen lights up again.

Check if the power is on or the circuit breaker has not tripped. Your cellar touch pad may be locked (press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds to unlock). The LED lights may be out of order.

It is possible your cellar is in demonstration mode, only the screen is functional, the compressor and the fans are not running. To return to normal operation mode, press the light + C/F keys for 3 seconds (remember to unlock your keyboard before doing so).

Other possible cases : check your door is closed properly, the ambient temperature is not too high, or your cellar is not built-in.

This means your cellar is set to multi-temperature mode. It automatically adjusts the temperature. No adjustment from your side is necessary.

This means your wine cellar is set in mono-temperature mode. You can adjust the temperature between +5°C and +20°C as you wish.

On the front of your racks are light indicators that flash (twice) to confirm either a removal or an addition of a bottle. The double flashing is a normal operation of your rack.

Your cellar is currently disconnected from the wifi network. Check your internet network and the signal is sufficient to be picked up by your cellar. In the case the Wifi signal is insufficient you will need to install a Wifi repeater near your connected cellar.

Your connected cellar can record up to 100 events (door opening/closing, bottle removal or deposit). Once the Wifi connection is re-established, an update of the stocks will be done on your application.

  • “HH” code indicates a high temperature alarm. Turn off and unplug your wine cellar. Contact your customer service.
“LL”  code indicates a low temperature alarm. Turn off and unplug your wine cellar. Contact customer service.
  • “DD” code indicates the unit is defrosting. This error code is a normal phase related to the defrosting of the cellar. No action is required.
  • “EE” code indicates a temperature sensor fault. Turn off and unplug your wine cellar. Contact the service department.
  • If any other code, such as A, B, C, D, E, G, I, J, K, M, N, O appears on your display, stop and unplug your wine cellar. Contact your after sales service company.

No, the Vinotag application is exclusive to the Avintage, Climadiff, La Sommelière, Temptech, Le Cellier, Vinostyle & Provintech brands. Please refer to the list of compatible wine cellars: https://vinotag-app.com/index.php/caves-compatibles-vinotag/ . Any other brand of wine cellar cannot be managed with the Vinotag application.

When your wine cellar is equipped with an active carbon filter, you can receive an alert (in the form of a pop-up) to inform you when it is necessary to change the active carbon filter. It is recommended to change the cellar filter annually. If when you open your Vinotag application you see the charcoal filter change pop-up, replace the filter in your physical cellar and go to MY CELLAR – SETTINGS – MAINTENANCE and click on “Filter changed on” then “Yes”, the current date is automatically registered. This action is necessary to ensure the correct recall of the alert. The alert is renewed one year after the “filter changed” date provided. Remember to check the compatibility of the carbon filter with your wine cellar before your purchase, we recommend that you purchase the filter on the brand’s website to avoid compatibility errors.
